Synopsis
This cookbook celebrates America’s heartland, with a culinary folk history of the Indiana Amish and Mennonites. It contains nearly 200 Amish and Mennonite recipes passed down through generations of farm cooks, as well as recipes found in old trunks and attics and in old books that were hand written. This celebration of farm life is a companion volume to the PBS series hosted by Adams. The cookbook has 64 full-color photographs of Amish and Mennonite life.
