With a copyright date of 1936, the cookbook is a wire spiral-bound hard cover measuring 6 x 8½ inches with 192 pages. It is in good to fair used condition with wear / stains to the covers; flipping through, the pages look clean and unmarked but have darkened.
This cookbook is a bit different in the way it is organized. Recipes are arranged according to method of preparation – all the roasts in one chapter; all the broiled and fried meats in another; vegetables or potatoes or salads are grouped in the same manner; cakes are listed by the number of eggs used. Both family and large gathering proportions are given, making it easy to adjust recipes to serve family, company or crowd. A step back in time!
