Description

A vintage collectors plate for the Pennsylvania Folklore Society of Ontario; this area of Canada was originally settled by Mennonites from Pennsylvania in the United States. In the center of the plate is a depiction of a Conestoga covered wagon, surrounded by various landmarks including: the covered bridge at West Montrose, Balls Mills at Balls Falls, the first Mennonite Burying Ground at Vineland and the Pioneer Memorial Tower near Doon, Ontario. Made by Johnson Brothers, England, the plate is brown transferware with a diameter of 10 inches. It is in very excellent used condition without cracks or chips.
