Description
A collectors souvenir plate for the Ratcliff Inn located in Carmi, Illinois. Built in 1828, it was restored by the White County Historical Society in 1960; Abraham Lincoln slept at the inn in 1840 while attending a local political rally. In the center is a depiction of the inn in purple with a raised fruit border; the plate has a diameter of 9¾ inches and is backstamped with info on the inn as well as: Lucille S. Piper … Memory Plates … PO Box 733 … Cincinnati, Ohio. It is in very excellent used condition, without cracks, chips or crazing.
