The people from all over the world who settled America brought their own food customs and, often, seeds in their pockets or sewn into their clothes. Somewhere in this huge new country they found a climate or a landscape that reminded them of home. They planted their native produce and reproduced their favorite recipes. With time and necessity, the recipes evolved into what they are today, uniquely American, cherished for their heritage. Take a cooking tour through the past and discover a world of varied flavors with the recipes in this cookbook!
