“A Field Guide to Western Birds” by Roger Tory Peterson as part of the Peterson Field Guide Series sponsored by the National Audubon Society. Originally published by Houghton Mifflin Company in 1941, this is a second edition, 12th printing from 1961. The book is a soft cover measuring 4½ x 7¼ inches with 309 pages; the price of $5.95 is printed on the back cover. It is in excellent condition, it does have some check marks written in ink next to pictures of some of the birds as well as a notation written in ink on the first page.
