Originally published by Houghton Mifflin Company in 1941, this is a second edition, 12th printing from 1961. The book is a soft cover measuring 4½ x 7¼ inches with 309 pages; the price of $5.95 is printed on the back cover. It is in excellent condition, it does have some check marks written in ink next to pictures of some of the birds as well as a notation written in ink on the first page.
