“The American Woman’s Cook Book” by Irma S. Bombauer. edited by Ruth Berolzheimer. With a copyright date of 1938, this edition was published for the Culinary Arts Institute by Consolidated Book Publishers, Inc. in 1941. The cookbook is a hard cover measuring 5½ x 8¼ inches with 816 pages, the chapters have a tab index. The cookbook is in good used condition with a fair amount of wear to the covers particularly at the spine, the pages are unmarked, flipping through a few have stains on them. I took pictures using different lighting effects to give you a good idea of what it looks like.

Synopsis

Ruth Berolzheimer was for years the director of the Culinary Arts Institute, and the editor/author of a number of books. The American Woman’s Cookbook was originally published by the directors of the College of Home Economics of Cornell University, under the auspices of the Delineator Institute. The cookbook contains over 10,000 recipes.
