Description
Offered is a vintage long-sleeve shirt from the United States Post Office. This is old, retired, not a current uniform. It dates probably from the 1970’s, possibly the early 1980’s, as it belonged to my dad who retired from the Post Office in 1986. He was one of those guys who wore the same exact thing every day until it was ragged and filled with holes, while brand new identical clothing sat in his closet. So the shirt is new, never worn, I opened a small hole in the side of the bag to check for the sewn on patch and to check that it is long-sleeved. The collar is marked: 16 … 4. I don’t see a size anywhere, I would guess it’s an extra large or large as my dad was a medium-sized 6’4″. The logo shown above is identical to the patch that is sewn on the sleeve. It was Union Made by Economy Uniforms of Carle Place, NY (he was a mailman on Long Island) and is a blend of 65% Polyester 35% Cotton. I have several of more of these that are identical.
